About Alexander Jacobson
Dr. Alexander Jacobson founded Oforma AI to professionalize his longtime interest in the intersection of information and society. At Princeton, Alexander wrote a dissertation on Soviet and American propaganda, focusing on how the way in which propaganda was framed could be more important than the content of the messages themselves. He also explored the interaction of technology and society as a Graduate Fellow in the Princeton Center for Digital Humanities, where he assisted in building machine learning projects before the advent of ChatGPT.
Alexander was lecturing on social media in the Russo-Ukrainian war when ChatGPT 3 was first released to the public. Recognizing that AI invites profound questions about how to ethically integrate this transformative technology into society, Alexander decided to leave academia to explore a career in conscientious artificial intelligence. At the same time, he finalized a long-planned move to New Mexico, a state where he had spent significant time since childhood.
When not thinking about AI, Alexander enjoys hiking the Four Corners, walking the Bosque, and hanging out in Albuquerque's many coffee shops.
